Self-pay equipment rental
Rent equipment without insurance.
No coverage, a high deductible, or no patience for paperwork? Most of our equipment rents month to month on self-pay — delivered and set up across New York City, Long Island, and the tristate area.
What you can rent
The full rental lineup, no insurance needed.
Self-pay covers the same equipment we bill to insurance: hospital beds, wheelchairs, patient lifts, power chairs, overbed tables and trapeze bars — rented by the month, delivered and set up in your home.
- Month-to-month terms — keep items as long as you need them
- No prescription needed for non-oxygen equipment on self-pay
- Delivery and setup included — we make sure everything works before we leave
- Every rental inspected, cleaned and sanitized before delivery
One exception: oxygen always requires a valid prescription, even when you pay yourself. That rule never changes — see prescription requirements.
Self-pay, or bill your insurance?
Central Home Care is a Medicare-enrolled DME supplier. If you have Medicare, Medicaid or another plan, we can verify your benefits first — many items can be rented or insurance-billed, and our insurance page lists the plans we work with. Plenty of families check both routes on a single call and take whichever works out better. Either way, it starts the same way: call (516) 623-9500.
