Oxygen tanks
Oxygen tank rental. For the trip, the visit, the just-in-case.
A concentrator covers most people at home — but tanks have their moments. Visiting New York and your equipment stays home. A day out without worrying about a battery. A backup cylinder in the closet in case the power goes out. Central Home Care rents oxygen tanks across New York City, Long Island, and the tristate area, delivered to hotels and homes.
Who rents tanks
Three common reasons.
- Visitors. You are coming to New York — a family event, a grandchild, an appointment — and your oxygen setup is at home. Tanks are waiting when you arrive instead.
- Days out. A portable cylinder for appointments, family visits, and time out of the house, without watching a battery gauge.
- Backup at home. A spare cylinder for power outages and the unexpected, alongside your oxygen concentrator.
How it works
Renting tanks, step by step.
- Call (516) 623-9500. Tell us the dates, where you will be staying, and your prescribed flow.
- Send your prescription. Oxygen always requires a valid prescription — for visitors, a copy from your own doctor is what we need.
- We deliver and collect. Tanks are delivered to your hotel or home, and we pick them up when the rental ends.
Staying longer, or not sure tanks are the right fit? A portable oxygen concentrator suits some trips better — we will tell you straight on the call.

Questions, answered.
Planning a trip or sorting out backup oxygen? Call (516) 623-9500.
Do I need a prescription to rent oxygen tanks?
Yes. Oxygen equipment always requires a valid prescription — for visitors, a copy of the prescription from your own doctor is what we need. Send it ahead of your trip so everything is ready when you arrive.
Can you deliver oxygen tanks to a hotel?
Yes. We deliver to hotels across New York City, as well as to family homes and residences. Call before your trip, tell us where you are staying and when you arrive, and we coordinate the delivery and the pickup when you leave.
How long can I rent oxygen tanks for?
Anything from a few days for a visit to month-to-month for as long as you need them. Short trips, family visits, and backup-at-home rentals are all common.
Should I rent tanks or a portable oxygen concentrator for a trip?
It depends on your prescribed flow and how much you will be out and about. Tanks are simple and need no charging; a portable concentrator runs longer for full days out. Call (516) 623-9500 and we will match the equipment to your prescription and your plans.
What if a tank runs low during my stay?
Call us at (516) 623-9500 and we will arrange the swap. Do not wait until a tank is empty — when it is getting low is the time to call.
